Maybe they will have some quests in C2 that can only be completed in C1, just so to s**ker C2-standalone players to get a copy of C1, but I figure that's about it :|

Factions is not an expansion.

it is a new full size second CHAPTER in the GUILD WARS series and will have a full games worth (equal to all of the original game) of content.

the next will be CHAPTER 3 which will not be an expansion of chapter 1/2 but a WHOLE NEW GAME with a whole new game FULL PRICE.

chapter 4 when it comes out will..........everybody now....... be a full new game with another full game price and will not be an .............everybody now.............expansion.

new full game content and price for each one. (playable merged or standalone)

I feel they will, in one of the frog talk captured on (gwonline.net) the frog mentioned about when someone mentioned about Orr mentioned about the "submerged" kingdom of orr how that would be a good idea for the future (not chapter 2).

I'm going to bet to get more chapter 1 people to by chapter 2 that they would throw in some bonus material for chapter 1 & 2 users for chapter 1.

Also by Chapter 3 or 4 there most likely going to have "bundle deals" get chapter 1&2 then by the stand alone 3

If you think about it, they never had any obligation to ever add more to the game. Once you buy it, they're not getting any more money out of you. Maybe now though because they can get 5 bucks from the sound pack and for the new campain.

In all seriousness, if you actually think Anet is going to add major content to CH1 after CH2 is released, you are either 1) really really dumb or 2) kidding yourselves. Sure you'll get the technical improvements like new trading system, new grouping system, etc., but a new map like Sorrow's Furnace? Keep dreaming.
